The Committee's duties include:
- Assists the Board by providing a structured, systematic oversight of MOSERS’ risk management and internal control practices.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to the Board regarding compliance with laws, regulations, policies and standards of ethical conduct; risk management processes; the prevention and detection of fraud; and the controls of the organization as a whole and its individual units.
- The Committee oversees the independent audit of MOSERS’ financial statements.
- The Committee will review and approve the internal audit charter at least every five years.

- Assists the Board in overseeing MOSERS’ investment program.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to the Board regarding asset allocation; real return objective; performance measurement and reporting; and the Boards’ Investment Policy Statement.
- The Committee may be assigned other investment related policy development and oversight projects from the Board.

Strategic Planning and Governance Committee Charter
The Committee's duties include:
- Assists the Board in planning for the immediate and long-term challenges and needs of MOSERS.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to the Board regarding implementation of the Strategic Plan; MOSERS Governance Manual and Board Rules; and other strategic or operations policy issues.
- Collaborates with MOSERS leadership team to identify critical strategic issues facing the organization.
