MOSERS has created this notice as part of our commitment to the privacy of our members and other users of this website. This notice provides important information regarding MOSERS’ efforts to keep your information safe from disclosure as well as the responsibilities you have to ensure the privacy of your information. If you, as a visitor, choose to log in as a member, or otherwise submit personally identifiable information, you are consenting to MOSERS' use of such data in accordance with this notice. MOSERS does not collect any personal information through the use of our website unless the user provides that information voluntarily by sending an email to MOSERS or submitting information while in the logged‑in areas of our site.

When You Visit

MOSERS uses web analytics to create summary statistics about the use of the website. The summary statistics are used to help MOSERS understand how users are interacting with the website. It is used solely to help us improve our online services and is used exclusively by MOSERS.

However, we may send you email that encourages you to log in to your secure Member Homepage to view information specific to you. Such emails will direct you to visit www.mosers.org and to the secure login process.

When You Complete an Online Transaction

We provide our members with the ability to create a username (MOSERS “Online ID”) and a password so that they may have online access to their membership information. We require the entry of username, password, and use data encryption and in some cases use two-factor authentication to validate your identity. Accessing your membership information or registering for events online is voluntary. If you choose not to use your online Member Homepage, you will still be able to access other features on our public website.

Disclosure of Information Collected Through This Website

Any information collected through this website may be subject to disclosure under the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, Revised Statutes of Missouri (RSMo), if such information is not protected from disclosure pursuant to Missouri state law or by MOSERS Board Rule. MOSERS will collect personal information through this website only if the information is voluntarily provided by the user through email or the logged in areas of this site.

MOSERS’ Social Media Policy

MOSERS’ social media platforms provide an opportunity for sharing information about MOSERS. Rights, benefits, and obligations regarding MOSERS are governed by the Revised Statutes of Missouri, and the MOSERS Board Rules both of which take precedence over any information on the social media sites. We cannot and do not guarantee its applicability or accuracy in regards to your individual circumstances. Communications made through social media and messaging systems will not constitute a legal or official notice to MOSERS or any official or employee of MOSERS for any purpose. Information on these pages is not intended to provide retirement or financial advice.

We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium and your comments are welcome at any time. However, responding to and deleting comments will generally occur during normal business hours Monday through Friday. 

Social media platforms are open forums and MOSERS encourages participation, however, postings are screened in accordance with the MOSERS Social Media Policy. Postings will not be edited by MOSERS staff, but will be deleted if they do not comply with the guidelines below. In addition to deleting non-permissible content, MOSERS reserves the right to permanently ban those who post content that does not comply with this policy. Postings and comments may be subject to public records retention in accordance with Missouri state law.

• We do not allow abusive, vulgar, obscene, racist, threatening, or harassing comments or content.
• Please do not post personal information or ask specific, personal benefit-related questions on this platform. Those who post personally identifiable or sensitive personal information do so at their own risk. MOSERS is not responsible for any personally identifiable or sensitive personal information posted by social media users. MOSERS will endeavor to remove postings that contain personally identifiable information as soon as those postings are identified, but MOSERS is not responsible for any damages caused by delays in such removal.
• We will not post any benefit information specifically related to any member. No personal benefit information will be shared on this platform.  We will remove any benefit information pertaining to a specific member.
• We do not allow solicitation or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non‑governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency.
• We do not allow any comment or content that suggests or encourages illegal activity.
• The comments and opinions expressed by users of this platform are theirs alone and do not reflect the opinions of MOSERS or its employees.
• Public comments should be limited to the comments related to the posted topic.
• We will remove any comment or information that, in the sole judgment of System staff, inaccurately describes benefits provided by MOSERS.
