Spring is here and that means it is a good time to “clean up” your beneficiary designations and make sure they are current!

Review Your Beneficiaries

Have you gotten married or divorced? Had a new child or grandchild? Have any of your beneficiaries changed their name or moved?

Check the beneficiaries listed in your Annual Benefit Statement. Or, log in to myMOSERS and click on Personal Information and then Life Insurance. Your beneficiary information will be displayed below your current life insurance coverage amount. You may change your designation while you are logged in by selecting Forms from the main menu, then Life Insurance Beneficiaries

If you are a member of MSEP 2011 or the Judicial Plan 2011, you also have a contribution beneficiary who will receive a refund of your employee contributions if you die before retirement and no one is entitled to a survivor benefit based on your service. To update this, log in to myMOSERS select Forms > Contribution Beneficiaries > Update.

If you participate in MO Deferred Comp, you should also be sure to review and update your beneficiaries for your supplemental retirement savings at modeferredcomp.org

Don’t just stop with your beneficiaries!

If your email or mailing address changes and we lose contact with you, you could miss out on important benefit information. It is also a Board Election year, and we will need your current email on file if you would like to vote!
