2020 Ready to Retire (PreRetirement) Seminars are OPEN!

Dec 19, 2019, 08:42 AM by MOSERS

HR Reminders:

  1. Monitor the mail in your office. Posters featuring the 2020 Ready to Retire (PreRetirement) Seminar schedules will arrive soon. There will be one poster for the MSEP/MSEP 2000 schedule and another for the MSEP 2011 schedule. Upon receipt, please hang these posters in a common area, such as a breakroom, so that your employees will be aware of upcoming seminars. Feel free to use and share the links to the electronic versions as well (linked above).
  2. Members must register to attend. A spouse or guest is welcome to attend with a member, even if they are not a state employee. They must be registered as well. If the guest is also a state employee within five years of retirement, they should register separately (as a member via myMOSERS) in order to receive their own personalized benefit estimate.
  3. Members must attend the correct seminar. To receive accurate information on their benefits, members must attend a session designed for their plan. A member may attend a session that doesn't cover their plan as the spouse or guest of a registered seminar attendee. However, the spouse/guest should register and attend a seminar designed for their own plan in order to learn about their benefits. Employees may visit the “What 's My Plan?” section to learn more about plan membership.
  4. Seminars are free and tend to fill rapidly. If the member OR their guest needs to cancel a registration for an in-person session, contact MOSERS at (800) 827-1063 as soon as possible. This will allow us to provide an accurate headcount to the caterer, venue, etc., and contact members who may be on a waiting list to attend. If a member needs to cancel registration in a webinar, they should follow the instructions at the bottom of their confirmation email.
  5. HR representatives - You are encouraged to attend a seminar at any stage in your career to familiarize yourself with MOSERS and the benefits we offer.
  6. Please copy and paste the information below and send it to your employees who are within five years of retirement eligibility.

2020 Ready to Retire (PreRetirement) registration is now open!

If you are within five years of retirement eligibility, register to attend a Ready to Retire (PreRetirement) Seminar or Webinar! Similar to the past few years, 2019 seminars filled early in the year and stayed full. MOSERS educators presented more than 90 seminars to nearly 3,500 members through in-person sessions across the state, on university campuses, and via online webinars. If you are interested in attending a seminar, you should register sooner rather than later.

If you are eligible to retire from MOSERS or are within five years of retirement eligibility, we will send you an email* invitation from MOSERS to attend a Ready to Retire (PreRetirement) Seminar.

MSEP or MSEP 2000 Members

Register to attend by logging in to myMOSERS, select the day or evening session you wish to attend, complete the registration information for both you and your guest (if any), and you are ready to go! We will send a confirmation to your MOSERS Document Express Online Mailbox (log in to view and print) as well as reminders one week before your selected session. Be sure to review these for details about your session and helpful hints for the day. Please note that evening sessions include MOSERS information only and sessions delivered on a university campus are designed for university employees.

Your spouse or guest is welcome to attend with you (even if they are not a state employee) AND they must be included in your registration. If your spouse or guest is also a state employee within five years of retirement eligibility, they should register separately (as a member via myMOSERS) to receive their own personalized benefit estimate and packet.
