MOSERS recently received the 2025 Public Pension Standards Award for funding and administration from the Public Pension Coordinating Council (PPCC). MOSERS has earned this national award annually since 2003.

"We are proud to continue this legacy," shared MOSERS Executive Director Abby Spieler. "This award highlights our commitment to the long-term security of our members and the sustainability of the System.

To receive the PPCC’s recognition for funding and administration, MOSERS must annually certify that it meets the requirements for funding adequacy in addition to meeting requirements in five areas of assessment. This includes a comprehensive benefit program, actuarial evaluation, audit, investments, and communications.

The Public Pension Standards set a national benchmark for the management, administration, and funding of public retirement systems, encouraging all public pension systems to strive for these high standards.
