MOSERS Month Campaign Receives Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Award
MOSERS recently received a Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Award from the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) for its annual MOSERS Month campaign. This is the fifth consecutive year MOSERS has earned this recognition.
NAGC presented 102 Blue Pencil and Gold Screen awards across 31 categories, plus Best in Show, at a May 12 ceremony at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas in Greater Palm Springs, California.
“The National Association of Government Communicators congratulates the recipients of this year’s highly competitive Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Awards,” shared NAGC President Leslie Gervasio. “These honorees represent the very best in public service communication, demonstrating exceptional creativity, clarity, and impact in the way they inform and engage the public. Their outstanding work highlights the essential role effective communication plays in promoting transparency, strengthening public trust, and connecting communities with important information.”
MOSERS received a first-place award for the 2025 MOSERS Month campaign webpage, “The MOSERS Office.” The campaign was an educational initiative that encouraged members to explore their MOSERS benefits and plan for retirement. The goal was simple: to take the intimidation out of retirement planning and increase member participation. This approach led to greater member engagement and a more informed, proactive membership.
A judge who reviewed the campaign commented, “This website submission is so fun! I loved the overall creativity involved in creating the theme and content featured on the website.” Another judge stated, “This website truly made me smile. It is extremely creative and entertaining while being informative!”
