TJ Carlson Fifth Consecutive Year 2026 Power 100

TJ Carlson, Chief Investment Officer at MOSERS, has been named to the 2026 CIO Power 100 List for the fifth year in a row.

The Power 100 List, published annually by Chief Investment Officer (CIO) magazine, recognizes the most influential figures shaping institutional investment management worldwide.

“Those on this year’s list oversee some of the world’s most important pools of capital, spanning public and corporate pension funds, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors,” shared CIO’s Executive Editor Amy Resnick. “While their mandates, risk tolerances and stakeholder expectations vary significantly, they share a common responsibility: safeguarding assets and generating returns on behalf of beneficiaries whose futures, or missions, depend on their decisions.”

Carlson has been CIO at MOSERS since October 2021. During that time, the market value of the MOSERS Trust fund hit an all-time high of $10.3 billion. Carlson has led the implementation of changes to the portfolio, as approved by the Board, including a transition to a new asset allocation and a reduction in the amount of leverage. Changes are being made in a targeted manner to ensure the long-term health and resilience of the MOSERS portfolio.
