Do you know if you’re a member of MSEP, MSEP 2000, or MSEP 2011?

In general, your plan is based on when you were first employed in a benefit-eligible position with the state of Missouri.

• MSEP – You were employed before July 1, 2000, and remained employed until vested in MSEP. At retirement, you can elect to retire under MSEP or MSEP 2000.
• MSEP 2000 – You were employed on or after July 1, 2000, but before January 1, 2011.
• MSEP 2011 – You were employed on or after January 1, 2011, or you elected a buyout of your pension benefits and returned to state employment.
